Alumni Mentorship Program Leaders to Influence Filipino Youth (AMPLIFY) is a program that creates a pool of mentors from the (Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative) YSEALI alumni circle. AMPLIFY is on its 3rd year and has identified three (3) mentors from USGAA Panay this year.
Angelica Belarmino – an advocate for children and youth’s education and welfare for 7 years. Fall 2015 fellow of YSEALI Academic Fellows Program at University of Nebraska-Omaha on Civic Engagement. Since then, she had been collaborating various community projects in the country. Currently, she is the U.S. Government Alumni Association- Panay & Guimaras (USGAA-PG) Interim Vice-Chairperson on Internal Affairs.
Pia Carmela Milaflores – is currently the Executive Director of Boracay Foundation Incorporated-the island’s biggest and tourism stakeholder organization. She is mostly involved in programs focused on Environmental Management and Marketing and Promotions. She was a Professional Fellow in Fall 2016 and served as a mentor of the winning Group in Yseali Generation Green Brunei. Pia has led projects in Coastal Resource Management under the program “Boracay Forever” and was actively involved in the Boracay Beach management program, which was awarded the Anvil Award for Excellence. She was also accepted as a Climate Tracker fellow in 2018.
Angeli Monique Siladan – is the project manager of Qapwa—a digital storytelling project that challenges stereotypes. She is an alumni of YSEALI TechCamp Bangkok. Since 2015, she has led peacebuilding projects such as the Stories of Bangsamoro, TechCamp Philippines and the #MealforMarawi campaign.
The AMPLIFY Tres, as they call their batch, will launch Lintianay Nights where they will host fellow alumni to tackle projects, alumni engagements and opportunities and individual advocacies. The future is sunny as the team is looking at launching the AMPLIFY project in Boracay, Philippines this summer.
