Last February 1 – 2, 2020, the annual Alumni Meet has gathered 30 alumni from different area-based and program-based associations throughout the country. Amidst the busy schedule of alumni, the participants convened at the luxurious Dusit Thani Makati. Ms. Nina Lewis, Assistant Cultural Affairs Officer, officially opened the event and highlighted how this kind of event strengthen the alumni network to work together.

USGAA MagCot, USGAA Davao, USGAA Eastern Visayas, USGAA SOX, USGAA Basilan, United States Grant Alumni Association CDO, USGAA Zamboanga, FLTA Ph Alumni Association, Fulbright Philippines Agriculture Alumni Association, HUNGLUS USGAA – Bukidnon, BUGKOS – CDO Alumni Association, USG Ranaw, Humphrey Alumni Philippines, PYLP Alumni Association, IVLP Philippines, ILEP-FDAI Philippines Alumni Association, AFS Intercultural Programs Philippines, Youth Exchange Study (YES) – Luzon, USGAA Zamboanga del Sur, USGAA Bicol, US-PH Exchange Alumni Ilocos, Access PYLP Alumni Association, USGAA North Cotabato and the host association, USGAA Panay and Guimaras, was present in this year’s gathering.

Alumni Meet has become an annual event to gather associations to report accomplishments, network with fellow alumni and collaborate for projects. During this two-day event, year long projects of the alumni groups has been lined up. It wasn’t all brainstorming. The gathering was also filled with entertainment as the alumni exhibited how to effectively showcase their local delicacy, in a manner of enticing pitch.

Mr. Matt Keener, Cultural Affairs Officer of the US Embassy in the Philippines, graced the event.
